Eminent Scientist and Bharat Ratna Prof C.N.R. Rao was awarded 2017 Von Hippel Award, the highest international prize in materials research. He is first Indian and the first Asian to win this award. He attended a meet-n-greet organized by the alumni of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Over forty scientists from the Boston area attended the event that was held in Medfield, MA.
