A Musical Show ... Hindi film songs based on Iconic Couples such as Rajesh Khanna/Mumtaz, Raj Kapoor/Nargis, Dilip Kumar/Madhubala, Shahrukh Khan/Kajol, Dharmendra/Hema Malini, DevAnand/Waheeda and others. Coming from the team who gave you Awaaz-e-Jazbaat Shankar Jaikishan ke Saath and A Musical Journey with Hrishikesh Mukherjee among hit shows.
Hindi cinema has presented so many gifted actors and actresses in lead romantic roles. A few however have become iconic couples, who we remember as Evergreen or Sadabahaar Aashiqs. They stand apart because of the special impact they have made over a series of films. Raj Kapoor-Nargis, Dilip Kumar-Vyjayanthimala, Dev Anand –Waheeda, Rajesh Khanna-Mumtaz, Amitabh-Rekha and Sharukh-Kaajol are some examples. While these actors have paired with many other co-stars, it is those roles where they have been paired together that we remember and cherish the most. Who can forget the chemistry between Dilip-Vyjayanthi in Ganga Jamna, Dev-Waheeda in Guide, or that of Sharukh-Kaajol in Dil Wale Dulhania le Jayenge?
On April 28th, we present a music show that rekindles our fond memories of some select iconic couples based on the unforgettable songs picturized on them. We will take you on a nostalgic musical ride and pleasantly surprise you with a range of iconic couples that we showcase, beyond the examples mentioned above.
This show follows the tradition of several of our previous hits: such as, Awaaz-e-Jazbaat Shankar Jaikishan ke Saath, A Musical Journey with Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Badshah-e-Romance and Khandan-e-Kapoor to name a few.
The net proceeds of our show will benefit Saheli and The Indian Council of Caring.
