The Haasya Ras (humorous) Kavi Sammelan had the audience roaring with laughter from the get go. Mahendra Ajanabi, Ashkaran Atal and Arun Gemini regaled audiences with jokes and their poems. The event was organized by ISW and the Antarashtriya Hindi Manch.

Phoolan Devi: The Bandit Queen
Shrish Korde’s brilliant Multi-Media chamber opera describing the life and times of Phoolan Devi had many original elements including setting an Atlantic Monthly interview to music and incorporating Indian classical music and dance alongside western operatic singing. New England's Deepti Navaratana, Aditya Kalyanpur and Mesma Belsare were brilliant. Urmila Basu Malllick was cute as young Phoolon.

MITHAS Fundraiser At Chinmaya Delights Music Lovers
A year ago the chairperson of the MITHAS' board, Geetha Krishnamurthy asked the then newly elected board member and local artist/teacher, Durga Krishnan if it would be possible for her to put together a fund raiser program for MITHAS. The concert on May 16, 2010 at the Chinmaya Mission was born out of that request and delighted the audience immensely.

A fundraiser event for New Hampshire Temple featured Aparna Balaji with her frontline students, accompanied by leading instrumental artists K.V.S. Vinay on violin, Dr. Ramachandran Balakrishnan also on violin, Shankar Raman on mridangam, Prayuth Naduthota on flute, and Soundarya Ganesh on veena along with the dance students of Neha Parikh.
