Gifted Singer Sai Sivani Electrifies Telugu Community

On Sunday, January 10th 2010, upcoming young playback singer Chy. Kum. Sai Sivani (age 15) gave a solo music performance to the Greater Boston Telugu community (New England Area) in Massachusetts, USA. This 3 .5 hrs Charity event was organized by Telugu Community at Keefe Tech High School Auditorium in Framingham.

Nearly 200 people were present. Kum. Sai Sivani did not charge for this performance and will facilitate donating all the proceeds to AP flood relief.

The first part of the program was Carnatic classical music. Kum Sai Sivani lifted the whole audience with her wonderful voice accompanied by 2 local artists. Chy. Ullas Rao, age 15, accompanied on Mridangam and Master Jithendra Kishore on Violin. Balagopala (Bhairavi) and Tagunayya Hari Neeku (Raga Malika) were a couple of the high lights.

After an hour of classical singing, Sai Sivani effortlessly transitioned into Cine Music that included Old cine classics, Old melodies, Latest Telugu movie songs intermixed with a few Hindi songs and showed her immense versatility.

Nee Leela Padeda Deva (Muripinche Muvvalu), Hai Hai Ga (Suvarna Sundari), Mila Mila (Super), Eamipoyaano (Pravarakhyudu), X Pichi Y Pichi (Gajani) are some Telugu songs and Bidi Jalele (Omkara) and Ye mera dil (New Don) are some of the Hindi songs.

Sastry Dwivedula (Entrepreneur & host) gave the program introductions; Sreenivas Kaki (Software Manager & Ex President of TAGB) did the artist’s introductions; Jayanand Boddu (Genetics PhD & Professor) compeered the program and Surya Jayanti (President TAGB) did the vote of thanks.

Local Industrialist, Philanthropist and Sigma Systems Inc. President Sri Mohan Nannapaneni presented the memento to Kum. Sai Sivani and thanked her on behalf of the Telugu Community and wished her success.
