Eduardo Kobra has painted a beautiful picture of Mahatma Gandhi getting down from a train, an adaption of a photograph taken in the early 1940s’ by Kulwant Roy owned by Aditya Arya Archive and India Photo Archive Foundation and is symbolic of the impact that Gandhi ji and the railways have had on India's Independence. The 14th year of Boston Bhangra was a huge success with over 2000 people in attendance and unbelievable performances by the teams. The Boston Bhangra Competition, called BBC for short, was hosted on November 11th, 2017 at the Orpheum Theatre. The winners were Philadelphia Bhangre De Shokeen, Michigan Bhangra Team and Virginia School of Bhangra - Waris.
