A Memorable Concert By Kaushiki Chakraborty
Kaushiki Chakraborty, an immensely popular vocalist of Indian Classical music dazzled the audience at Cary Hall in Lexington on April 30th, 2023. The concert was organized by Shadaj, a 501 C(3) non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating and promoting Indian Classical Music in the Greater Boston area (www.shadaj.org).

Shuruaat Tour A Slamming Success!
The Grammy-nominated Berklee Indian Ensemble just completed the Shuruaat Tour, taking their music to 15 cities across the country. The tour was a resounding success, with almost every show sold out. Known for blending traditional Indian music with contemporary Western styles, BIE's music is a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of India.

Sewa Holi
The annual SEWA Holi function was held on April 30 at the Nara Park in Acton. Despite the heavy rain, people showed up to participate in the cultural program and be part of the fair. SEWA works to bring transformational change in the lives of the underserved and people in disaster relief situations.

TAGB Ugadi Utsavam
On the sunny afternoon of April 29, 2023, the campus of Milford High School was alive with the vibrant colors, sounds, and flavors of Telugu culture. Nearly 800 people from the Telugu community gathered to celebrate the annual Ugadi festival organized by the Telugu Association of Greater Boston (TAGB) with the support of its dedicated volunteers and sponsors.

New England Guruguha Vaibhavam 2023
Guruguha Vaibhavam, celebrating the priceless compositions of the Saint composer, Muthuswamy Dikshitar was conducted and performed by a group of Carnatic music enthusiasts at the Parvathi Parameshwara temple in Littleton, MA on Sunday, May 7th. It was a full-day event with over 70 musicians pouring their hearts out, performing Dikshitar's compositions on vocal, veena, flute and the violin.

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Temple, Boston, MA organized it’s Annual grand Jagannath Rath Yatra known as the festival of Chariot Procession on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Boston City witnessed a unique spectacle as the Rath Yatra proceeded from 1 Cambria Street to Boston Commons. The festival symbolizes the journey of Lord Jagannath from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple in Odisha.

Boston Indian Diaspora Welcomes Historic Visit By Mr. Modi To USA By Land, Sea And Air
The FIA-New England, along with the Indian-American diaspora, organized an initiative to welcome India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Boston's Harbor/Charlestown through air, land, and water, as mentioned by FIA-NE President Abhishek Singh in his opening remarks during the celebration.

Indian Americans For Burlington At July 4 Parade
Indian Americans for Burlington participated in the local July 4th parade. Deepa Agrawal, the president of IAB, together with the members of her executive team, Smita Kapadia, Atul Bhammar, Shilpa Patangay, Vaidehi Pathak, Vasantha Kannan, Shweta Mathur, Amrit Soni, Menka Jethra and committed volunteers, are grateful to the Burlington Fourth of July Parade team for arranging this event every year.

IAGB Celebrates India Day 2023
On a lovely afternoon on August 19th, people from the New England Indian diaspora gathered at the majestic Hatch Shell next to the Charles River in time to live music from the Northeastern Univ students in preparation for the evening’s concert. This concert and many other performances to come were all part of the India Day celebrations organized by IAGB (India Association of Greater Boston) to mark the 76th year of Indian independence.
