Baaje Tori Paayaliya: Divas Of Dance - A Resounding Success!
Baaje Tori Paayaliya was an event that uniquely blended the legacy of Vyjayantimala, Padmini, Waheeda Rehman, Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit, Gopi Krishna, Sandhya, Sridevi, Rekha, Aruna Irani, Helen, Asha Parekh, Aishwarya Rai and Deepika Padukone with live dances and singing, along with narration outlining these wonderful actresses and their achievements. The event was produced by Meena Sundaram with an organizational team including Jawed Wahid, Vijay Kumar and Rajesh Vaidheeswaran and a large group of on-stage performers and back-stage organizers and volunteers.

NE Youth Raise Over $22,000 For AIF LAMP Program
From June 1 – 21, the American India Foundation (AIF) held its first-ever New England Crowdfunding Challenge. During this three-week crowdfunding campaign, 41 high school students, college students, and young professionals raised $22,641 for AIF’s Learning and Migration Program (LAMP) through personalized online fundraising pages, dramatically surpassing the original goal of $6,000. Arya Anand, Diya Anand, students of IYG, Worcester and Shrunothra Ambati were the top fundraisers.

Celestial Minds Explores, Expands And Enriches Chess Horizon
From a small initiative of two students in 2003 to providing a platform for over 1000 players till 2014,the journey of New England based 'Prema Chess Lab' while graduating to 'Celestial Minds' initiated a novel fusion concept of linking Chess to Music. In 2014, the highlight was the 'Outreach Program" embracing and enveloping the hearing and speaking impaired Girls School in Mysore, into the Chess family. Founder Director Kavyashree Mallanna also extended her reach to collaborate with Chess bodies in Mysore, India to organize two All India FIDE rated competition and was felicitated for her effort in promoting chess by JSS Medical College and Visweswaraiya Technical Institute.
