Firstly, its called 'Pongal' and not 'Thanksgiving' and it's celebrated for four days. What are they celebrating? A good harvest of course. Obituary: Brig. Gen. Sita Ram Nautiyal

Brigadier General (Retd.) Sita Ram Nautiyal, father of Ragini Seth and Shiamin Melville of Northboro, MA, the first Indian to be commissioned to the Corps of Engineers in the British Army, died peacefully in his sleep on Christmas morning at age 95. [more]
