AID - Boston Chapter presents Smitha Kalyani a software engineer by training who quit her job with Wipro to start Eureka a Child Initiative in India; she will speak to the challenges and promise of educating India's next generation. Eureka Child has facilitated dramatic improvements in the reading, math and science skills of more than a million children across villages in Tamil Nadu and Bihar, by unleashing a combination of innovative teaching methods and creative learning material. The program has been recognized by many awards such as the MIT Indus Technovators award, Lemelson Inventors Fellowship, Ashoka Fellowship and the Pratham USA Achievement award.
