BUIC Spring Cultural Show: RAAZ
Boston University India Club [BUIC] presents Raaz at Boston University’s Tsai Performance Center on April 3, 2010. The show will serve as BUIC’s Spring cultural show. The Hindi word, “Raaz,†is translated into English as the word “secret.†Therefore, the event revolves around a central story of a mystery. The show will feature 13 acts prepared and performed entirely by Boston University students. The event will showcase the university’s talent in South Asian forms of dancing, and singing. The acts will include native forms of Indian dance such as bhangra, giddha, and classical bharatnatyam. The acts will be mixed in with modern fusion and film dance forms. The other highlights of the show include: singing acts presented by a student, an a cappella group and a solo performer. In addition, a student-created fashion show as well as the freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior class dances will add flavor to the night. A group of students, as Master of Ceremonies, will be showcasing their own skits along with the love show theme of the event. Tickets will be sold in advance at the GSU Link March 29th - April 2nd from 10 to 5. There is an afternoon show at 3pm and a evening show at 7pm.
