Building a borderless world: Stories of conflict and rebuilding from Kashmir Conflict, militancy, and militarization in the state of Jammu & Kashmir has affected thousands of children. Ongoing conflict has resulted in worsening the living conditions of the economically backward classes in Kashmir. Girls are particularly vulnerable in the face of such conflict due to excess moral and cultural policing, often resulting in high rates of girls dropping out of school. Adhik Kadam, one of the founders of the Borderless World Foundation responds to these issues by focusing on the comprehensive rehabilitation of girl children in areas of conflict. In this talk, Adhik will discuss this project - it's trajectory, values, implementation, and the challenges they continue to face.
