Ragam. Talam. Natyam - The Language of Indian Dance and Music. Ragam. Talam. Natyam - The Language of Indian Dance and Music." This production marks the very first collaboration between the Berklee Indian Ensemble and the newly formed Berklee Indian Dance Ensemble. Through original choreography set to a rich mosaic of Indian music, the performance will focus on nritta (footwork/movements) and nritya (facial expression) to narrate the unique language of the age-old Indian classical dance tradition, Bharatanatyam. With lush vocal arrangements, the concert will feature an eclectic blend from Hindustani classical (North Indian), Carnatic classical (South Indian), folk music, Indo-jazz compositions, and Konokol/Tabla Bols (Indian rhythmic solfege/vocal percussion). Join us for an evening of colors, music, and movement, celebrating the spirit and diversity of Indian art and culture with 52 performers representing 15 countries - India, Bangladesh, Japan, Belgium, Caribbean Islands, Argentina, Greece, Serbia, Kenya, France, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Brazil and the United States of America.
