Republic Day - A Fine Talent Showcase
The event this year, held on Jan. 22 at the Burlington High School, was a well-run event that got rave reviews from attendees. The executive committee members Saurabh Saksena, Amrit Soni and Zehra Khan pulled together a fabulous event that included a delightful musical showcase.

2011 KHMC Inaugural Concert A Resounding Success
KHMC had a wonderful start to 2011 concert series with Karnatic and Hindustani concerts in Guru-Shishya concept. The Hindustani segment of the KHMC concert featured sitar performances by Jawwad Noor and his students while the Karnatic segment featured Tara Anand and her student along with Pravin Sitaram and his student.

2011 Yug Vasant - Birth Centenary Celebrated At Satsang Center
On a severe wintry evening, about 400 people enthusiastically converged in the sanctum of Satsang Center. They all looked excited to be part of a once in a life-time opportunity to celebrate the Birth Centenary Yug-Rishi Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya (1911-2011). They came to enjoy a vibrant spiritual celebration of Vasant Panchami (वसंत पंचमी) on February 5th, 2011.

The New England Tamil Sangam celebrated Pongal Vizhaa 2011 (Harvest Festival) on February 12, 2011 at Chelmsford High School in Chelmsford, MA. Over 1000 people attended this gala event – on a spring-like day with the weather providing timely relief, in the middle of our harsh winter.

UIA Holi At Mantra - A Sold Out Event
The United India Association hosted a fun filled Holi celebration at the Mantra restaurant in downtown Boston on March 20, 2011. Over 400 people attended the event. All ingredients of a traditional Holi festivals including Thandai, Chaat, colors , music and dance were present and gave a back-home feeling to the celebration.

On 14th May, 2011, Harvard University’s Department of Sanskrit and Indian Studies organized the Fifteenth Annual India Poetry Reading. The theme this year was ‘Spirituality,’ which probably is the stated and unstated essence of every poem, the "more" every poem carries within it.
