KANE Onam 2009 Celebrations
The Kerala Association of New England cordially invites everyone to its Annual Onam 2009 celebration on Saturday, Sept 12th, 2009 at the Marlborough Middle School Auditorium in Marlborough, MA. The day's highlights include a delicious vegetarian lunch, a variety of dance & music items and Kathaprasangam (a traditional Kerala art of storytelling) by the award winning artiste Niranam Rajan. (Lamp Lighting @ 10:30 AM; Lunch/OnaSadhya starts @ 11:30 AM. Business Meeting & Cultural Programs @ 2:30 PM.) We also invite applications for our annual pookalam (flower carpet) competition - cash prizes of $100, $75 and $ 50 will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners respectively with all participants receiving merit certificates.
