Naada Aradhana / CVHTS
CVHTS presents Naada Aradhana (Salutations to the Great Composers of India):
10 a.m.-4.30 p.m. –Pancharatna Ganam and individual offerings by local artists and students of music in Connecticut.
4:30 p.m. - Concert : Dr. Krishna Raghavendra – Veena, with RARE Ensemble. Dr. Krishna Raghavendra and flute maestro V.K.Raman are the leading melodic instrumentalists of RARE. The music of the group is further enhanced by master percussionists, Umayalpuram Mahalingam and Murali Balachandran. They play original compositions of Dr. Krishna Raghavendra based on Indian ragas, which belong to traditional, folk, devotional and contemporary categories.

Concert segment organized with assistance from The RAGA CLUB of Connecticut, a new group that has been formed with the aim of organizing, enjoying and promoting classical music of India . Raga Club has organized a series of concerts for 2006 whose details can be seen at www.ragact.org.
