Charity Art Auction and Exhibit
On Sunday, December 4, Harvard Dharma will be leading a Charity Art Show and Auction as part of the South Asia Earthquake Relief Coalition at Harvard. The event will take place in two parts. The first part--the Art Show--will open with a special exhibit at the Harvard Sackler Museum (32 Quincy St, Cambridge) featuring pieces from Kashmir and the surrounding area. After a short lecture by the curator of the exhibit, we will have a guest speaker and presentation to address the pressing issues of the tragedy that remain today. From there, we will move to the CGIS South Building (1730 Cambridge St, Cambridge) for the Charity Auction which will display all types of art from painting to photography to signed works from Meera Nair. The works will be a combination of professional art and exceptional student pieces and will be placed in silent auction.
