Choice Meal Program For Older Adults in Indian Community Minuteman Senior Services Eating Together Luncheon Centers offer older adults an opportunity to meet, share experiences, explore new interests and enjoy a nutritious lunch. In an effort to reach out to the older Indian community in our area, we have added a Choice Meal Day once a month at various dining centers. On that day diners are encouraged to try the Indian meal or the traditional meal. Minuteman staff members Rita Kakkar and Jaso Kuga initiated this program in the fall of 2003. Response to the program exceeded our expectations. We are anticipating that this years participation will parallel or be greater than last year. Before or after lunch activities are planned such as: Yoga, Medical Information, Nutrition Education, Lectures etc. The lunch is catered by Bollywood Cafe of Lexington.
