Shye Ben Tzur and the Rajasthan Gypsies
Shye is an Israeli singer-Ââ€songwriter who fell in love with Qawwali music and Indian mystic traditions. He has lived in India for 10+ years. Performing Shye’s compositions in Hebrew as well as some traditional Indian poetry, the Rajasthan Gypsies band features Indian and Israeli musicians including qawwals Zaki Nizami and Zakir Aliase Aghan. With rave reviews from festivals in Delhi, Mumbai, Australia, Israel, and Canada, the band’s ‘world devotional groove music’ makes them rising stars in the world music category.
