The event is Water Centric’s First Annual Bike-a-thon and you can help them raise funds to help provide for  the millions of school children who do not have clean water, toilets or any form of sanitation. In less than two years since it launched, Water Centric has raised nearly $50,000 and has:

• Built a septic tank and toilets at the Molar Band School resulting in over 1000 girls getting access to toilets for the first time in school!
• Built water stations for drinking water at Jasola, Badarpur, and Julaina schools which provide clean and hygienic water facilities to several thousand children
• Built and/or renovated toilets and urinals for boys and girls in the Ashram, Okhla, and Molar Band schools
• Started student-led Hygiene Clubs and hygiene education programs at all 10 schools serving over 10,000 kids
• Held training sessions for principals and lead teachers to incorporate hygiene education at all ten schools
• Continued to fundraise by connecting schools and kids in the USA with the partner schools and kids in India, thereby getting several local schools to raise awareness and money for this cause.
