Global Peace Secretariat presents Special Citation to legendary Music Director Uttam Singh and his daughter Preeti Uttam, father-daughter duo for “Musafir Jaane Wale” song in the movie Gadar on occasion of August 15th, India’s Independence Day.

Uttam Singh,  a legendary music director for many blockbuster songs in  Indian Cinema  and violinist , has been nominated for many awards and is recipient of Filmfare & Zee Cine Awards.  Preeti Uttam, Music Director Singh’s daughter, is a gifted playback singer, also, in Indian Cinema starting at an early age of 3 years old and had recorded in 18 languages by the time she was 15.  Preeti is now settled in Atlanta & has founded Aarohi Institute of Music to teach Hindustani music in North America.
