About the artists

 

R. Suryaprakash is a Carnatic vocalist, composer, and lyricist. He is an 'A Grade' artist of All India Radio.

 

Suryaprakash began studying music at the age of seven from his uncle Tirukkodikaval Shri V. Rajamani, a disciple of Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. Later, he learned under Shri M. A. Venugopalan, another disciple of Semmangudi. He received his advanced training from T. V. Sankaranarayanan.

 

Suryaprakash holds a master's degree in Carnatic music from Madras University. He was also awarded a doctorate degree in March 2020 by Madras University for his thesis titled "Structured and Systematic Approach to Manodharma Sangeetham".

 

Suryaprakash is a regular performer in the Carnatic music circuit and has been accompanied by leading stalwarts such as Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman, Mannargudi Easwaran, and Thiruvarur Bhakthavatsalam.

Suryaprakash has composed several Thillanas, Ragamalikas, and Krithis. He has composed lyrics and set musical score for three Australian dance productions.

 

Raghavendra Rao hails from a distinguished family of musicians. He was initiated into the niceties of music at an early age of five by his father B. Sudarsana Rao.

 

Attracted by the lure of classical music from his childhood, he trained rigorously on the violin for several years and learned from the legendary T.N. Krishnan. He also gained guidance and concert experience from Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna.

 

As an young artist he received the appreciation of the President of India for his skilled accompanying. He is one of the most sought-after violinists in the Carnatic music genre today.

 

K.H. Vineeth is an 'A grade' mridangam artist of All India Radio. He has learned from Palakkad Mahesh Kumar and Patri Satish Kumar.

 

Vineeth has accompanied many of the leading musicians of Carnatic Music over his career. Vineeth has been performing in the celebrated annual music conference of the Madras Music Academy since 2010. He has also performed across the world in many places including Singapore, Dubai, Bahrain and the United States.
