Embassy Of India: Painting Competition

Greetings from the Embassy of India, Washington D.C.

On 15 August 2023, we will celebrate 76th anniversary of India’s independence. This also marks the culmination of ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

As part of these celebrations, Embassy of India is organizing a painting competition on the theme of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, where youngsters from Indian diaspora will have the opportunity to portray their ideas about the journey and celebrations of 75 years of India’s independence. Select paintings will be displayed by the Embassy during the celebrations of Independence Day and first three winners from each age group will be felicitated on the occasion. All participants will also receive commendation certificates for participation from the Embassy of India.

Details for participation are as follows:

Age group: 7-12 and 13-18 years

Medium: Any (water/oil/ acrylic/ sketch pen-pencil/ mixed media etc.)
Size: 16 x 20 inches

Last date to confirm participation: 01 August 2023.

Last date of submission of painting: By 12 noon on Sunday, 13 August 2023.

*All entries need to be framed except the paintings on canvas. Non-framed entries will not be accepted.

*Write your name, age, address, phone number and brief description of the painting and thought process behind it on the backside of the painting.
