Vedanta In Principle And Practice

Press Release

Vedanta in Principle and Practice
Discourse by Br. Shwetaji
Saturday, Feb 2, 2020
CMB, Andover at 9:00AM & 12:00 noon
Recently posted as the new Brahmacharini, Brni. Shweta Chaitanya's Vedantic journey began when she joined Bala Vihar in Chinmaya Mission Houston at the age of 6. As Aditi Deshmukh, she progressed steadily until she graduated in 2009. After her undergraduate degree from University of Texas, Austin, she joined the Vedanta course at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Mumbai, in August 2014. After being trained in great depth by Swami Bodhatmananda (the main Acharya of the Vedanta Course 2014-16) for two years, she returned to Columbia University in New York to finish the master's degree.

In August 2017, when Mukhya Swami Swaroopananda, the worldwide head of Chinmaya Mission, visited Houston, he gave the devoted disciple the blessing and deeksha to become Brahmacharini Shweta Chaitanya. Posted now as a young Acharya in CM Houston, Shwetaji actively spreads the message of the scriptures through the Sunday pravachans at Chinmaya Prabha and in study groups across the greater Houston area. The clarity of her knowledge along with her ability to appeal lovingly to varied audiences make her a cherished asset to the community which feels fortunate to have been part of her journey from the very beginning.

With the blessings of Sri Chinmaya Māruti & Pujya Gurudev Swāmi Chinmāyananda, CMB invites you to the celebrations of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayānandā's 70th jayanti (birthday) and the 17th anniversary of CMB with a 3 day event culminating in
Triśati Suvāsini pujā and Lalithā Kalyānam
June 14th, 2020.

In Lalithā sahasranāmā, the mother Goddess is praised as Sumangali (Suvāsini), "Suvāsinyarchana preetha" which means that Devi should be worshipped by married women and these married women should also be worshipped, to please the Goddess.

All married women are eligible to register for this Suvāsini Pujā. We will worship them individually with the 300 names of The Eternal mother known as Lalithā Triśati. A 16 step puja (Ṣodaśopachāra puja) will be done to each of them. On completion of the pujā, all the 300 women will be served a feast on a banana leaf.

Registration is free. Click here
and complete the requested information to save your spot. A volunteer will contact the registrants to go through the procedure and answer any questions. Spots are assigned on a first come first served basis and so we urge you to reserve your spot at your earliest opportunity.
This is a very unique family event and we want everyone to come and seek the blessings of Mother Goddess.  We hope to see all of you on June 14th, 2020.
