Yoga Immersion Boston

Sri Sri School of Yoga organized a two-day workshop titled, ‘Yoga Immersion Boston” in Boston, MA from May 12 to May 13, 2018 to restore, rejuvenate and renew the physical and mental energy among participants. More than 150 participants from New England and surrounding states attended the workshop to obtain the benefits of Yoga. Shri Krishna Verma and Smt Bharati Verma lead the workshop very professionally and meticulously.

Krishan Verma has been a student of yoga for the past 35 years and a teacher for the past two decades. Shri Krishna Verma is the global director of Yoga research and training at the Sri Sri School of Yoga. He has immense passion and dedication for Yoga and has trained over 2000 Yoga teachers in more than 20 countries. He is known for helping his students achieve their personal goals and helping them experience the effortless union of mind, body, and spirit during his programs and rejuvenating their outlook about life. With his in depth wisdom and experience, he guides his students to capture the true facts of Yoga by combining the knowledge of ancient discipline and the inner study of the self. As a result, his trained teachers help to spread the knowledge and benefits of yoga throughout the globe. Dr. Smt Bharati Verma also associated with this School since 2001.

On May 12, 2018, Shri Krishna Verma welcomed warmly all the participants and thanked them for attending the workshop and started the workshop with OM chanting. He stated that Yoga help all the people who practice it continuously and especially working people by giving them emotional strength so that they can easily manage all pressures and it can give them best intellectual abilities to handle their complex tasks. He also talked about the practical applications of yogic philosophy to enrich our life on a daily basis. Both Shri and Smt Verma taught Yoga routines for better postures, techniques to calm our mind and clear emotional blockages, simple and easy Yoga and meditation sequences to practice at home. Dr. Smt Bharati not only spoke about the benefits but also demonstrated yoga postures, various breathing techniques, and meditation practices for optimal living. Smt Verma said that Yoga is a great remedy to remove our tensions which definitely affect our health because we have to fulfill a demanding career and take care of the family.

On May 13, 2018, both Shri and Smt Verma welcomed all the participants with their warm good morning wishes and big smiles. Shri Krishna said that a few minutes of Yoga during the day can be a great way to get rid of stress that accumulates daily-in both the body and mind. He talked about various techniques such as Yoga postures for standing, walking, bending, and sitting; Pranayama to direct and control prana (energy, breath, or life force) in the body; and meditation as effective techniques to release stress and calm our mind and clear emotional jams. And he spoke about the right approaches of using Yoga as a science for our best living. Smt Bharati Verma presented live posture clinic for Neck & shoulder care, focusing on effects of prolonged sitting and posture clinic for spine & back care. Meditation is a relaxation which gives calm mind, good concentration and rejuvenation of the body - stated by Dr. Smt Verma as well.

All the participant of the workshop attended all the sessions with high level of dedication and interest. Both Shri Krishna Verma and Dr. Smt Bharati Verma suggested and explained suitable remedies for the personal health problems of some participants with lot of patience. Very friendly and soft-spoken Ms. Latika Menon managed organizing and registration task very systematically and was very helpful to all the participants.
