Please join Rajeev Balakrishna as he discusses the skills needed to make a successful pitch. These are invaluable skills whether you need to advance an idea among colleagues, pitch for yourself to propel your career, pitch to get a new client or to get more business from an existing one!
Rajeev Balakrishna, Esq. is currently Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Courier Corporation. Courier Corporation, a public company listed on Nasdaq, is a leading book manufacturer and publisher in New England. In his role at Courier, Rajeev is responsible for all legal affairs at Courier, including securities, employment, contracting, compliance, corporate governance, intellectual property protection and company acquisitions. He has operational responsibility for the Publishing Segment, one of the two business segments at Courier. He is also a member of the management team at Courier and is actively involved in strategic decisions affecting the company.
When Mr. Balakrishna came to Courier Corporation in March of 2007, he brought over ten years of experience as a corporate, securities and transactional attorney. He was a senior associate at Proskauer Rose LLP in Boston and held an in-house position as Counsel at John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Balakrishna began his legal career at Goodwin Procter LLP where he assisted clients, including Courier, on a wide variety of corporate matters. He holds a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center (’96), a Masters of Science in Foreign Service from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service (’96) and a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University in Economics and International Relations (’91).
As a founding member of the SABA Greater Boston chapter, Rajeev was instrumental in laying the structural foundation of the organization. He currently serves as a member of SABA GB’s Advisory Board.
