Mata Amritanandamayi or Amma, a world renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader known as the “Hugging Saint†by the US media, will be visiting Boston for two days of free public programs. You are invited to receive a personal blessing and experience the love, grace and compassion that Amma embodies. For the last 37 years through the simplest of gestures, a hug, she has personally blessed over 29 million people. Amma's humanitarian activities around the world include opening an orphanage in Haiti for children orphaned by the earthquake, building several thousand new homes for tsunami victims, the largest private donation for hurricane Katrina relief, farmer suicide prevention programs, soup kitchens , orphanages, free state of the art medical care and free education for the underprivileged and economic self reliance programs.
Numbered tokens for individual blessings are distributed 1 hr before program. Due to the large number of people attending each program, those with tokens may have to wait awhile before their number range is posted.

Directions: Take exit 28 on Rte 495. Exit ramp and onto eastbound -- not westbound -- Route 111. Then, after getting onto eastbound Route 111, turn right just a few dozen yards east of Interstate 495. into the driveway for the Holiday Inn. The driveway is marked by a small sign near the ground.
