Laksharchana means reciting the divine names 100,000 times (collectively) while doing archana. During this Laksharchana, Sri Vekateswara Sahasranamam -- the 1000 names of Sri Venkateswara -- will be chanted by 108 and more devotees as they and our Temple priests jointly do archana to Sri Venkateswara. All puja materials will be provided for your archana, including a photo of our Temple’s Sri Venkateswara, and a printed booklet with the Sri Venkateswara Sahasranamam in your choice of Sanskrit/Devanagiri, English, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, or Telugu.
At the end of the Laksharchana, sponsoring devotees can keep the photo of Sri Venkateswara to which they made their archana offerings and the Sahasranaman booklet, and collect their Archana prasadam. Please arrive by 10:30 AM to get your booklets and to be seated. If you wish to become familiar with the Sri Venkateswara Saharanamam before the Archana day, please visit our website www.srilakshmi.org to download a copy. Sponsors are invited to come early to witness the Abhishekam for Sri Venkateswara at 8:30 AM.
Last November, we conducted Sri Maha Lakshmi Laksharchana and all participants felt the presence and experienced the grace of Sri Maha Lakshmi. Since that event, we have seen remarkable progress in the planning of our Temple’s Expansion Project.
