Sri H. K. Narasimhamurthy is one of the leading violinists of India based in Mysore. He had extensive training under Late Sri Parur Sundaram Iyer and his illustrious sons, violin maestros Sri M. S. Anantharaman and the legendary violin wizard Sri M. S. Gopalakrishnan. He holds a Sangeetha Vidwan degree from the Central College of Music, Madras where he studied under some of the great musicians of the day. As an young and upcoming artiste in the early 1970s, he won the first prize in the All India Radio music competition at the national level. L. Shanker was one of the other contestants. He was also named the best violin accompanist from the Madras Music Academy in 1976 and Krishna Gana Sabha in 1975. He holds many titles conferred on him from many sabhas and institutions in India like Gana-Kala- Bhaskara, Shrestacharya, Sangeetha-Kala-Tapasvi, Sangeetha-Kala-Bhooshana among others. Recently he has been awarded the Ananya Puraskar from the prestigious Bangalore based Music organization 'Ananya.'. Sri HKN, has been performing for over 40 years and has been an A-grade staff artiste at All India Radio Mysore for many years. He has accompanied several stalwarts of Carnatic Music of yesteryears as well as musicians of the present generation. The list of people he has accompanied includes Maharajapuram Vishwanatha Iyer, Chambai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, D.K. Pattamal, D.K. Jayaraman, M. Balamuralikrishna, Jesudas, T.V. Shankaranarayan, T.N. Seshagopalan and K.S. Gopalakrishnan to name a few. All of this displays his experience, expertise and depth of knowledge that he has developed in the 40 years of his dedication to the world of Carnatic Music. He made his American debut with Bombay Sisters in the late eighties and has toured many countries since then. He has gained appreciation of the rasikas all around the world.

Rajna Swaminathan is a prime disciple of Mrudangam Maestro Sri Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman, who made several visits to Maryland, USA and coached her intensively as his protégé. Rajna started learning Mrudangam from her father Dr. P. K. Swaminathan at the tender age of 5 and came under the direct tutelage of Sri Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman at the age of 8. She is a 16 year old 11th grader at Paint Branch High School, Maryland. Rajna has accompanied several prominent musicians from South India, including Dr. N. Ramani, Carnatica Brothers, Flute Shashank, Rudrapatnam Brothers, Smt. R. N. Srilatha, Papanasam Ashok Ramani, R. Suryaprakash, Master Balamuralikrishna, Smt. Jayalakshmi Santhanam, Sikkil Gurucharan, and won their praise. During Fall 2004, Rajna toured USA along with her illustrious Guru and performed for one piece on Mrudangam at each of the 26 concerts, with Sri Sivaraman playing on Kanjira to encourage her. Sri Sivaraman presented her to the Maryland audience for a full two hour concert debut in October 2004. Rajna has been performing regularly for the prestigious Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana. Rajna debuted in Chennai, India during Summer 2005, where she received great approbation from dignitaries and musicians. Since then, Rajna has been visiting India twice a year to perform in various cities and for the Chennai December Music season. Rajna has performed in Bangalore, Mysore, Trivandrum and New Delhi. She was interviewed by Kairali TV which was broadcast worldwide.
