Charity Auction and Banquet Fundraiser for Room to Read - an Organization Promoting Education and Literacy Programs in South Asia
The Harvard South Asian Women's Collective and South Asian Men's Collective cordially invite you to a Charity Auction and Dinner this Friday, October 28th at 8:00. The event will include live performances by Harvard Bhangra, the South Asian Dance Company, and professional classical musicians. Items include: 4 passes to any Disney theme park, Plane ticket to anywhere in the US, several dinners for two, jewelry, salon/spa gift certificates, sporting event tickets, MP3 players, designer ties, professional photographs, and much more! All proceeds will go to Room to Read, an organization committed to promoting education and literacy programs in South Asia. As South Asian students from one of the world's leading educational institutions, we are very passionate about education, and believe that everyone deserves such an amazing opportunity. We would love your company and support as we try to bring the Boston area community together to raise funds for those less fortunate than us. Directions: The easiest way to get to Leverett by car is to turn onto Plympton Street off of Memorial Drive (between the Western Ave Bridge and Larz Anderson Bridge). Once you have turned onto Plympton Street, make the first right onto Mill Street, and it will be on your right. Unfortunately we will not be able to provide parking, but there are several garages in the square. From Harvard Square: Walk down Plympton Street off of Mass Ave (next to the Harvard Bookstore), and continue until you reach Mill Street. Turn Left on this street, and Leverett Dining Hall will be on your right.
