Storyteller, Surabhi Shah tells of how Birbal’s wisdom often saved the day – and the reputation of the King! Workshop | Bharatanatyam Dance 1 – 1:30 pm and 3 – 3:30 pm | East India Marine Hall Join dancers Sudarshan Belsare and Soumya Ramanathan for an introductory workshop on bharatanatyam, a two thousand year-old classical dance from South India that combines dance with theatre and storytelling. Performance | Stories of Extraordinary Women of India 2 – 2:45 pm | Morse Auditorium Join storyteller, Surabhi Shah to hear enthralling stories of extraordinary women from India’s Hindu, Jain and Muslim cultures of India. Drop-in Art Activity | Taj Mahal Inlay-Inspired Collage 2 – 4 pm | Art Studios Create a collage inspired by the beautiful floral inlays that adorn the Taj Mahal’s white marble surfaces.
