Hiking Adventure / Patidar Samaj
Attire - please dress in comfortable clothes – shorts and tee shirts work best. Bring a sweatshirt or wind breaker – it can get cold and windy at the summit. Wear comfortable but sturdy shoes – sneakers are fine as long as they have a good grip. Please no heels or slip-ons.
Packing – each hiker should bring a back pack with the following items:
a) Sandwich and drink for snack
b) Water bottle (at least 24-oz)
c) Suggested snacks – granola bar; cookies/chips; trail mix or nuts; piece of fruit; gum/candy bars
d) Small trash bag to bring items back with you (a grocery shopping bag works great)
The pack leaders will have the necessary first aid items but you should bring your own sunscreen/bug spray. You are welcome to bring your cameras – keep in mind that you will be carrying these items in your backpack and it could get too heavy to hike comfortably. We will have a designated person taking pictures and videotaping the hike, so you can always get your copies from us (at no charge of course).
