T M Krishna a stalwart of the Carnatic (South India) Music, started his tutelage at a tender age of six under Vidwan Sri Seetharama Sharma and continued to learn from Sri Chengalpet Ranganthan and from the notable Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. A stickler for tradition, T M Krishna is known for his forthright rendition and very high level of aesthetics in conception and execution.
