IIT Kanpur Boston Chapter / Networking With The Alumni
We are pleased to announce that Dr. S. G. Dhande, Director of IIT Kanpur, and Dr. G. K. Lal, Director of IIT Kanpur alumni relations, will be visiting the Boston area in May 2004. The primary objective of this visit is to share with the alumni, the current vision of IIT Kanpur and discuss how they can contribute to achieving some of the goals and in further refining the vision. Dr. Dhande would also like to strengthen the research programmes, faculty recruitment and collaboration with leading US universities. The IIT Kanpur Boston chapter in association with SANGAM-MIT, is proud to host an event to further this goal, and host Dr. Dhande's lecture in MIT followed by an interactive session over a banquet styled Indian dinner.
* 5:30 - 6:30 Informal get-together (Refreshments will be provided)
* 6:30 - 7:00 Welcome address followed by a talk by Dorothy Dahl, wife of (late) Dr. Norman Dahl - the pioneer of the Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP).
* 7:00 - 8:00 Lecture by Dr. Sanjay G. Dhande (Director of IIT Kanpur)
* 8:00 - 10:00 Banquet styled Indian dinner with an informal Q&A session with Dr. Sanjay G. Dhande and Prof. G.K. Lal, Director Alumni Relations, IIT Kanpur.
