The work explores desire and sensuality through literature and performance based on a narrative poem by a courtesan, Muddu Palani from the 18th century. The book was celebrated during Muddu Palani's times but caused controversy in the 20th cen and was banned by the British in India. My Dear Muddu Palani is a tribute to women's expression of desire and a challenge to the way women’s bodies are viewed in modern societies both in the east and the west. Performance by: Aparna Sindhoor, Anil Natyaveda, Sunil Kumar, Leah Vincent and Vijith Chandran
