| Maha Sivarathri Jaagaran and Puja / Soundarya Lahiri Holy days like Sivarathri are marked out in order to impress upon the mind of man his duty to impose fast on his senses and vigilance on his intelligence to keep away polluting impulses and inclinations. At midnight (on Sivarathri), Divine vibrations are close to every human heart when people are engaged in holy tasks. It is a night during which the peerless Universal Mother performs worship on our behalf. Any worship performed during this time period is sanctified since it is deemed to have been done in the august presence of the Universal Mother. An individual Peetham will be arranged for each couple where 11 Shiva Lingams (Ekadasa Rudras) will be placed and they can do Ekadasa Rudrabhishekam on their own while Rithwiks will be reciting Rudram. There will be archana and bhajans all along the night taking you to Supreme Divine Tranquility on this auspicious Day.
