| Ranjani & Gayatri (Vocal) B. Ranjani and B. Gayatri - Vocal H. N. Bhaskar - Violin Manoj Siva - Mridangam Ranjani and Gayatri ---------------------------- Ranjani and Gayatri began their music career as violin duet artists even before they were teenagers. Through their intense training, command over the violin and fine artistry, they quickly established themselves as top-class violinists with an international reputation. The sisters started giving vocal concerts in 1997, and within barely three years, they had won high praise from discerning critics and music lovers all over the globe. Ranjani and Gayatri have the special distinction of being A-Graded in the violin as well as in vocal. Ranjani and Gayatri owe their rich musical heritage to the focused and high-level training received from their gurus - Sangeeta Bhooshanam T.S. Krishnaswami for their vocal singing. They had their initial vocal training from their mother Meenakshi Balasubramanyam, from whom they still continue to learn. Gayatri accompanied TM Krishna on violin during his first US tour. She also accompanied Vijay Siva during his US tour. H.N. Bhaskar ------------------- H.N. Bhaskar is a 'Grade A' violin artist in A.I.R, Mysore and Doordarshan. He had his initial training in the violin under H.K. Narasimha Murthy and H.N. Rajalakshmi since 1981. He later underwent further training under the renowned violin maestro Padmashri M.S. Gopalakrishnan in Chennai. He was also awarded many prizes in high school and college during various competitions. Some of these accomplishments were the Best Violin Accompaniment Prize in the Bangalore Gayana Samaja in 1990, the Special Prize for Best Violin Accompaniment in the National Level R.T.P Competition conducted by R.R. Sabha, Tirichi in 1995. N. Manoj Siva -------------------- Manoj Siva received his initial training in mridangam from Kumbakonam Raiappa Iyer and Srirangaraiapuram Jayaram ever since the age of four. He is receiving advanced training from Padmashri Palghat R. Raghu since June 1992. He is considered an 'A Grade' artist by All India Radio. He has been in the music profession for nearly 20 years. He has also accompanied stalwarts such as D.K. Jayaraman, K.V. Narayanaswamy, D.K. Pattamal, N. Ramani, P.S. Narayanaswamy, T.N. Seshagopalan. He has toured all over India and other countries such as US, Canada, Germany, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. He was awarded the title of Yuva Kala Bharathi by Bharat Kalachar. He accompanied Vijay Siva during his recent US tour.
