Ustad Azizul Islam
Azizul Islam is a classical flute player from Bangladesh. His life as a sailor made it difficult for him to stay under the guidance of a single Ustad. At the same time his life as a sailor provided him enough seclusion and time to sharpen his skill at flute playing.
Having trained under the eminent Ustad Bahadur Khan, Pt. Devendra Murdeshwar, Pt. VG Karnad and Ustad Vilayat Ali Khan, his flute renderings have developed its own unique style.
Ustad Azizul Islam had the rare opportunity to perform at Dover lane Music Conference in India, Uttarpara Sangeet Chakra, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture at Golpark, Kolkata, Habitat Centre of Delhi, Singapore Indian Fine Arts, and Australia. He has been performing many solo programs in Bangladesh including Shilpakala Academy, Nattashala and Engineers Institute Halls organized by cultural organization. While visiting US he will be performing at various places including Bangamela at Washington DC and a solo program in Huston.
