Invitation to Join IAC Boston: Solidarity to Anna Hazare and his Movement: Sat-August-27th 4:00PM
We are a group of motivated IAC (http://www.indiaagainstcorruption.org/) volunteers from Greater Boston Area, organizing a big protest event at The Pit, Harvard Square, Cambridge. We are inviting people to join us in this Movement led by Sri Anna Hazare Ji’s. This movement is to put pressure on the Government of India to bring a Strong Jan LokPal Bill thru Parliamentary system. We are organizing a completely “Gandhi-an†Styled peaceful protest on 27th Aug. What are we doing on 27th August at Harvard Square? We believe that we NRIs can make a big difference thru protest and demonstration. We will be assembling at The Pit, Harvard square, Cambridge to support Anna Hazare’s movement to bring Strong Jan LokPal Bill. We, IAC volunteers, will be providing IAC official Handouts and will be chanting few slogans to support Anna. We have few activities planned for kids. Colorful balloons, Face paint, National Anthem and few motivating patriotic Songs. National and International media is expected to cover our event. Venue: The Pit, Harvard Square (MBTA Red Line Station), Cambridge. Date and Time: 27th Aug 2011 at 4:00PM What is IAC(India Against corruption) ? India Against Corruption (IAC) is a citizen's movement to demand strong anti-corruption laws. This movement is led by Veteran Social Activist Shri Anna Hazare Ji. The IAC is a strictly voluntary organization and its participants are bound by the IAC code of conduct(http://www.indiaagainstcorruption.org/iaccode.html). We all should refrain naming any person or group. How can it help us? With all national and International media and international pressure, we feel that we can put pressure on “Govt of India†to pass a strong Anti Corruption Jan LokPal Bill. As evident and it seems “Govt of India†is considering to change its stand. Thousands and thousands of motivated and patriotic Citizens are on Street to support this movement.
