Water Centric Bike-a-thon: Pedal for a great cause
Water Centric (www.watercentric.org) invites everyone to its “Bike-A-Thon and Cookout†fundraiser on behalf of the 1.2 billion people who lack clean water and 2.6 billion who lack sanitation. Come to beautiful Great Brook Farm, in Carlisle, MA, and ride a 50 or 15 mile bike route, or hike some walking trails, pet some farm animals, plus enjoy a cookout including pulled pork from Red Bones Barbecue. Water Centric is headquartered in Lexington, MA and is currently working with municipal schools in Delhi, India which lack clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education for the 10,000 school children enrolled there. To date, Water Centric has provided water taps, septic tanks, toilets, and hygiene education – the critical link to ensure improved cleanliness and health.
