Lagu Chandi Homam (Sapta Sati Havanam) 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM and Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanam Vatuka Bhairava Pooja, Suvasini Pooja Kanya Pooja, Aarathi (Sri. Sivaguru Kumaraswamy Dixitar will lead the pooja) Significance of Chandi Homam: ---------------------------- “Kalau Chandi Vinayakau!”. In Kaliyuga to get immediate divine grace one should worship Lord Ganesha (Vinayaka) and Durga (Chandi). Therefore it is appropriate to celebrate Dasara (Navarathri). There are 700 (Sapta Sati) Slokas in Devi Mahatmyam. The name is also due to the fact that it talks about 7 Matas – Brahmi, Maheswari, Kowmari, Vaishnavi, Varahi, Aindri and Chamunda.
