An evening of Light Urdu Poetry
On behalf of the Aligarh Alumni Association of New England, we would like to invite you to a 'Mushaira' at Harvard University. the flyer is attached. This is a FREE event and refreshments will be served. The Mushaira is a joint event being organized in association with Project Nur, the Aligarh Alumni Association of New England and some dedicated students at TUFTS.
Most students have little exposure in Urdu and/or Urdu poetry. The idea is to bring Urdu poetry in its most understandable form to those of the Indian Sub-continent or the local population who have basic knowledge of Urdu and would like to be exposed to the wonderful traditions of a Mushaira.
Few renowned local poets will present their 'EZEE Kalaam' and have English translations available at the venue. Interested students are encouraged to either read their own or someone else's kalaam that they like.
