| An Afternoon With Famous Writer Mr. Amit Chaudhury You will be delighted to be a part of a Reading session with one of the world most coveted writers of Modern day English Literature, on Sunday, September 22, 2002 , Mr. Amit Chaudhury. In this occasion we will also celebrate the first fund rasing event for The Boston Pledge, Inc. a non profit organization to effect direct grass root changes in underprivileged parts of the world with particular focus on Health, Education, and Entrepreneurship. He was educated at the Cathedral and John Connon School, Bombay, at University College, London, where he took a First in English, and at Balliol College, Oxford, where he completed his doctorate on the poetry of DH Lawrence. He was Creative Arts Fellow at Wolfson College, Oxford, 1992-95, and Leverhulme Special Research Fellow at the Faculty of English, Cambridge, 1997-99. He is, at present, teaching the Fall semester at the writing division, School of the Arts, Columbia University. He has written four novels; his latest publication is Real Time, a book of short stories published by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux.
