The Identity of India: The Iron Age 2000BC to 500 BC
Welcome to our this year's program in Outreach activities of the Department of Sanskrit and Indian studies at Harvard University. We wish to continue on the theme of 'Indian Society through the Ages' where we explore the current state of knowledge on the people, traditions, heritage, culture and scholarship of the people inhabiting in the Indian subcontinent. The series was inaugurated last year with lectures on genetics, the Indus Valley, the Vedas and the Prosody. We plan to navigate through the te! chronological innovations, religions, arts and architecture and explorations in literature through this year.
