Lear Hindi
With India's rise in the world and the growing popularity of Indian cuisine and Bollywood cinema, there has been an increased interest in the Hindi language. This course will introduce you to Hindi, the most widely spoken tongue of South Asia. You'll learn to read and write in the Devanagari script, but the emphasis will be on speaking skills and listening comprehension. Hindi songs from contemporary Indian films will augment conventional teaching materials. This course requires the purchase of textbooks. Limited to 16. Sec. 01: 10 Mondays, 5:45-7:15 pm.
