Carnatic and Hindustani Music by Geetha Murali, Suchita Rao, and Rasika Murali
Chinmaya Mission Boston is happy to present an evening of Carnatic and Hindustani Music by Geetha Murali, Suchita Rao, and Rasika Murali

Geetha Murali is an award winning Carnatic Vocalist. She received her diploma in music from The Bharatiya Music and Arts Society, Mumbai. She has received training in music from stalwarts such as Shri A.S.Panchapakesha Iyer , Smt. T.R.Balamani (Mumbai) and Smt. Kamala Krishnamurthy (Mumbai). She is a very sought after teacher in the area and has devoted over 15 years to teaching music. Her students have done very well at the annual Cleveland competitions and won many awards over the years.

Shuchitha Rao was born in a family of music lovers in Hyderabad, India. Her initial training in Hindustani Vocal Classical music was with Shri N.K.Karhade in Hyderabad. Later, she trained under the noted Gwalior Gharana exponent Smt. Malini Rajurkar and also under Pandit Ajay Pohankar. She is passionate about music education and founded music institute RASA(Raaga Aesthetics Sharing and Appreciation) to introduce and teach Hindustani Music to residents living in her community.

Rasika Murali, a junior at the Norwood high school is trained in Carnatic Vocal from her mother Smt. Geetha Murali from the age of 5. She has also been fortunate to learn Violin under the tutelage of Smt. Tara Anand for the past 8 years. She has won numerous vocal and violin competitions held by prestigeous organisations like Cleveland Aradhana Committee and CMANA. She had the honor of winning CMANA's prestigious M.S.Subbulakshmi award at the young age of 14.
