| Sama Veda Upakarma Significance of Upararma Veda stipulates the rules and regulations of life. Veda is the root for the Universe. Protecting Veda and practicing its spiritual injuction is the dundamental duty of Hindus. Veda Adhyayis (anyone who has gone through Brahmopadesa) should recite atleast the Aumkara (Pranava mantra) once every 3 hours.
