Nrityanjali 2009 / NEHTI
NEHTI Committee on Youth Cultural and Educational Program (YCEP) invites
Dance teachers and Students to participate in the offering of
Nrityanjali to Sri Nataraja as a part of MahaSivarathri Celeberations
at Sri Lakshmi Temple
on Sunday, 1st March 2009
The program will be from 12:00 Noon through 7:00 PM:
* We invite Devotional Dances based on any Classical or Folk Dance form, with songs based on any language.
* Each dance should be for a maximum duration of 10 minutes.
* All participants are requested to the fill the excel spreadsheet and email it to nrityanjali2009@gmail.com (Please send an email to nrityanjali2009@gmail.com to obtain the Excel spreadsheet.)
* If you are learning from a local teacher, please send your nomination through your teacher
* We request teachers to send the complete list of participants.
* While we will try to accommodate all requests, we will handle requests on a first-come-first-serve basis.
* A donation of $20.00 per item per participant is requested. Teachers are requested to collect the money from their students and bring a check to the temple written out to NEHTI YCEP. Students who have no designated teacher will pay at the temple on M arch 1st 2009.
This year YCEP is proud to announce a $1000 scholarship for one talented dancer who is currently a high school senior. YCEP gives this scholarship in the hope that the student will make classical dance a part of their life and not stop after leaving high school. We hope this student will dedicate themselves to the cause of dance.
