Abhyasa: A Night of Traditional Indian Music and Dance
Come join Harvard Sangeet and Harvard Dharma for the presentation of Abhyasa, a traditional Indian dance and music performance. The performance, in the traditional Bharatanatyam style of South India, will feature young performers from colleges across the U.S. in a seamless synthesis of music and dance. Featuring a live orchestra, this show promises to be an unforgettable journey that you will not want to miss. All proceeds from the performance will be donated to V-Excel Educational Trust, a charity based in India.

The V-Excel Educational Trust is a non-profit organization that benefits children with special needs in South India. Its founder, Dr. Vasudha Prakash, was an associate professor at Kean University who moved to India to fulfill her dream of helping children with special needs. Today, the organization has opened many branches and continues to foster the right environment for challenged children, and their families. The organization focuses on running schools for children with developmental disabilities and training teachers to staff these schools. Your support will go a long way for helping children in India, and it will be greatly appreciated.
