Haimanti Rakshit Das, a gifted and prolific performer in Bengali, Hindi and Urdu songs, comes from a family in Chittagong, Bangladesh, with musical background and has trained under Ustad Bani Chowdhury, Ustad Nirod Boron Barua, Basudev Ghose, Sobhan Khan, and Anup Barua. She started performing from a tender age of six.
