Students Say ‘Walk Your Talk’ In Support Of Bhopal Survivors
At 12:45pm Thursday, a group of students will express their protest to the Indian authorities by spelling out the slogan “Walk Your Talk” with their bodies inside the Main Entrance to MIT’s Campus (Lobby 7). The event is part of the Week of Action for Bhopal at MIT, which aims to inform the public about the ongoing toxic disaster in Bhopal, India and to pressure the Indian government to meet the Bhopal survivor’s demands. Several MIT departments are closely tied with Dow Chemical, the corporation legally responsible for the cases pertaining to the disaster since its acquisition of Union Carbide.
